The most northeastern railroad station of Mecklenburg Vorpommern and the Island of Rügen with a view of the lake.
In 1891, the railroad line from Bergen to Sassnitz is completed and put into operation. At that time, the station building is located in the village of Crampas and bore the inscription Crampas - Sassnitz. The terminus station Sassnitz (until 1993: Saßnitz) is located north of the town center and is designed as a terminus station. Regional trains arrive and depart here every hour, with connections in all directions. When you leave the station building, you are immediately impressed by the view of the sea.
