A brick and fieldstone church in Middelhagen, which was built in 1455.
The brick building, whose foundation consists of erratic blocks, was built around 1455. The wooden tower was not built until later, because according to the strict rules of the Cistercian monks, many churches were built without towers. The altar of St. Catherine, created around 1480, has been preserved from the medieval period. It probably came from Stralsund to Middelhagen only after the Thirty Years' War. Another very valuable piece is a chalice made of silver and gilded from 1597.
