The building in the style of a Finnish hut and one of the few church buildings in GDR times.
The chapel in Glowe is also called St. Birgitta Church. Until the 80s of the last century, the spiritual care of the former fishing village was provided by the pastor of Bobbin. When the small village developed into a popular seaside resort due to the beautiful beaches of the Schaabe, there was a call for a church of its own. In 1981/82 a community center with a free-standing bell tower was built in the style of Finnish huts with a natural roof. Thus, a building was created that blends beautifully into the landscape. In the chapel there is a small Jehmlich organ since 1988. The special feature is the church hall with a glazed west wall.
