Idyllically located small natural harbor away from the center of Baab with probably the smallest ferry in the world.
The village of Baabe is located in the southeast of the Island of Rügen, on the Mönchgut peninsula. In the east it is bordered by the Baltic Sea, in the west by the Baaber Bek and the Selliner See. Since July 2014, there are 25 new berths for pleasure boats at the Baaber Bollwerk on the eastern shore of the narrow Bek at a water depth of 2.8 to 3.3 meters, plus two berths for passenger shipping. MS Lamara and MS Sundevit can be used daily during the summer months. At the northern end of the fixed pier, the second smallest ferry in Germany crosses the Baab Bek. By rowing boat and muscle power the passengers, on request also their bicycles, are transferred to Moritzdorf. Facilities:
