Experience a listed 10,000-ton ocean-going freighter from the inside as well - with engine room, bridge or sailor's chamber. This is possible on the traditional ship in the IGA Park.
Welcome to Germany's largest floating museum!
The whole world of seafaring and shipbuilding can be experienced in the Rostock Maritime Museum. The traditional ship has been delighting its guests with many unique attractions for 50 years now. More than 12,000 exhibits here show the development of shipbuilding - from the Slavic dugout canoe to the computer-controlled production of modern large shipyards. The most impressive exhibit is, of course, the steel giant itself. Many of the original rooms can still be experienced today and take visitors on a journey through time - from the Warnow River to the rest of the world.
Special exhibitions and an extensive outdoor area with concrete ship, floating crane and many other technical highlights make the visit an experience for the whole family.
