The Sassnitz pier is a popular vantage point to admire the Baltic ferries to and from Sweden.
The Sassnitz pier is 105.5 meters long and was built in the nineties of the 20th century. Since then, passenger ships pass the structure because the water is too shallow at its end. Today, the pier is mainly used as a viewing platform for tourists, for anglers, but also as a bathing bridge for everyone.
