Six kilometers south of Hagenow lies the Warlitz manor house, built in 1620 by the Danish Colonel von Pentz. After many changes of ownership, the estate is now privately owned.
If you are looking for rural relaxation in the style of a lord of the manor and would like to forget everyday life for a while, you will find both at the former manor house. Situated in an approximately three-hectare park with a small lake and moat, the restored manor house now houses several vacation apartments. In the shade of old lime trees and copper beeches there is also an apiary with a farm store. By appointment, there are guided tours by the master beekeeper, who is also the lord of the castle.
