Parks and Gardens, Castles and Manors

A beautiful spot surrounded by greenery. A homely place, full of peace, history and the power to relax. And the scent of freshly baked goods and mown grass is often in the air. This is probably the best way to describe the Schlosspark Sophienhof cultural venue.

"Das Haus im Park" is the family life project of the Tesch family and has also been a cultural venue and event location in Vorpommern Greifswald since 2022.

Sophienhof Palace and Park is a place full of peace and tranquillity, where there is a lot of family power, love, courage and time. Out of the desire to share this place, a small cultural program was created for the first time in 2022, followed by the possibility of renting the park for private or commercial events. The park has inviting lawns with a great view of the manor house from 1880, but here and there you can also catch a glimpse of current construction sites on the house or in the park. Part of the park is the rustic garden house with all kinds of vegetables and herbs. Guests can also expect lots of cozy corners, various island beds, a swamp bed, perennial beds with hydrangeas, roses and much more. The garden and park were mainly inspired by English gardens, but also by old photographs of the original park and influences from permaculture.

The website not only contains historical facts, family photos and stories from the construction site, but also an up-to-date event schedule with all the important information for a visit.
