In the evang. Sankt-Marien-Kirche Klütz services, concerts and other events take place regularly. In addition, an exhibition can be visited during the summer months.
St. Mary's Church in Klütz is one of the most important town churches in Mecklenburg. The oldest part of the three-nave hall church - the chancel - dates from the middle of the 13th century and still shows clear Romanesque influences. The nave was built later in the transitional style (Romanesque-Gothic). The square tower with a height of 56 meters was added as the last component probably only in the 14th century and served in earlier times also as a sea mark. The octagonal helmet has the shape of the "bishop's miter" typical in northern Germany.
