The small village of Damerow is located halfway between Berlin and the Baltic Sea, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The historic estate is idyllically situated, surrounded by meadows and fields. A place where you can meet, work in peace or simply relax.
As the von Winterfeld-Gobbers family, we had long since given up on Damerow when contact was made with the Damerow local history association, in particular with the deputy chairman. First, the family association was successfully asked for a donation to refresh the writings on the old gravestones at the church ruins; then we were asked whether we would like to buy and preserve the old caretaker's house, which still exists, before it falls into disrepair.
So we bought it in 2006 and quickly began restoration work. At the same time, we could not stand by and watch the misery of the surrounding estate buildings, which continued to decay. So we made a gradual effort to acquire all the important buildings of the old estate, which were still in various states of ownership and were still reasonably well preserved. Today, we are endeavoring to preserve the whole as far as possible and, together with third parties, to put it to new economic use.
Staying overnight
There is nothing better than a vacation in the countryside! The peace and quiet and the fresh air are simply incomparable. The chirping of the birds or the rustling of the leaves in the wind are so calming that you can quickly relax. The nights here are so dark and quiet that you feel like you're in another world. And the best thing is how well you can sleep here!
We can currently offer you 2 different accommodation options on the estate. You can choose between our vacation home or one of the two double rooms in the estate museum. Another accommodation option will be available soon.
Working
Co-working in the middle of the countryside? Yes, it's possible and it makes a lot of sense. Where can you work more creatively than in the countryside, surrounded by nature? And you also have the chance to decide for yourself where you want to base your work. Here you will find a place for you and your ideas far away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Pack your laptop, you'll find the rest with us. Do you need more than one space or do you have important appointments that you can't keep at home with customers, partners or similar? Then simply rent one of our rooms, by the hour or by the day. You can choose whether you simply want to sit in our open café or have more privacy in the adjoining small meeting room. We can also help you if you are interested in a lockable room.
Meetings, workshops, seminars and/or private discussions can be held in a variety of locations and places. Depending on the atmosphere you want to work in and how many people you are coming with. We will be happy to advise you.
