Gabriel Rodenberg is the boss and owner of the riding facility of the same name at FerienGut Dalwitz. Guests receive qualified riding lessons from him and his staff in English riding style up to class M and in Western riding.
The smallest riders, from 4 to 8 years, can learn to ride from the beginning on ponies of various sizes. The horses are housed in spacious boxes in the indoor riding arena and in the gatehouse stable or live year-round on the pastures of the Dalwitz estate. The horses in the boxes have daily access to the pastures. We pay attention to high quality feed and to fixed times for feeding the hired horses.
For beginners, those changing over and adult beginners, western riding on Criollos is an alternative to the classic English way of riding. These South American horses, which Heino Graf von Bassewitz once brought with him from Uruguay, have been bred and trained at the "La Primera" stud farm since 1992. They are characterized by their robust and very docile nature and are our partners in cattle work. Riders who are willing to saddle up can be present at the work with the cattle and help us on the pastures in spring and in autumn with the driving in and the sorting. Special courses and riding programs are currently published on the website of the Dalwitz Estate.
For those who prefer a quieter vacation, we offer extended cross-country rides through the Mecklenburg ParkLand. Criollos, Quarter Horses, Mecklenburgers, Holsteins, Hanoverians and Oldenburgers are available for riding lessons and rides.
Hunting riders get their money's worth with us. They can experience dog training and hunting behind the Mecklenburg pack with their own and on trained hunting horses of the riding facility.
In the specialties of the training to the horse landlord "attitude and service", "Western riding" and "breeding" horse-enthusiastic male and female riders can complete an education with us on the riding facility.
