The Kulmeck restaurant in the seaside resort of Heringsdorf impresses with its excellent cuisine.
Restaurant Kulmeck is one of the oldest and most renowned restaurants on the Island of Usedom. Here guests experience "culinary lifestyle and casual high pleasure in a private ambience". In January 2021, the restaurant was awarded a Michelin star. Service is described as "personal, warm, professional and discreet" and the dishes as "finely accented and full of finesse." From Wednesday to Saturday, finger foods, fine trifles and light wines are served on the terrace in the afternoon and outstanding 5 to 7 courses in the evening.
Top chef Tom Wickboldt took over the Kulmeck restaurant in 2020. It reopened in October after a core renovation. Wickboldt already brought the first Michelin star to the Island of Usedom in 2013. In the meantime, he also gained inspiration for his own restaurant as the private chef of a well-known German hard rock band, for whom he quickly conjured up both authentic high cuisine and creative finger food on the plate.
