For more than a hundred years now, the narrow-gauge railway "Rasender Roland" has been driiving in the scenic south-east of the island of Rügen and offers a special kind of experience on the narrow gauge track.
Route according to timetable: Lauterbach-Putbus-Binz-Granitz-Sellin-Baabe-Göhren, all 2nd class with bicycle transport. The historic narrow-gauge railway has a gauge of 750 mm and "races" steam-powered with a top speed of 30 km/h past traffic jams and parking lot searches.
With a track length of 24.2 km, the raging Roland needs a good hour and offers pure railway romanticism. Since 2008, Eisenbahn-Bau- und Betriebsgesellschaft Pressnitztalbahn mbH from Jöhstadt in Saxony has been the operator of this idyllic small train.
