In addition to the workshop work and the exhibition in the porcelain studio, works from the glassworks can be seen in the garden. A lot of art and culture in the "Art Place Glashagen".

Fields, meadows, forests and rolling hills. Embedded in the terminal moraine landscape directly next to the natural monument Quellental south of Bad Doberan lies the extension settlement of Glashagen. Besides the name Glashutten, Glashagen is mentioned in a document in 1273. During the great period of the Doberan monastery, Cistercian monks operated a glassworks in this area, the first in Mecklenburg. The place name obliges. From afar, the blue house at the end of a path shines through a lively landscape. The glass designers have a principle: bright and clear, compact and handy, no frills and not subject to any fashionable trends - such are the products that take shape on paper as well as in free creative work.

Since summer 2014, there has also been a porcelain studio with a small gallery in Glashagen. There, unique porcelain pieces are created according to their own designs in the artistic field of studio ceramics. Vases, bowls, cans and drinking vessels have, reduced in form and color, interesting haptic and visual contrasts on the pure white surface. In both workshops during KunstOffen 2017 Saturday and Monday will be worked from 10-16. The galleries are open daily from 10-18 at Whitsun! Just a few meters away, in the immediate vicinity of the two workshops, there is a pottery, a photographer, a café, driftwood furniture and an art garage.

A lot of art and culture in a small place, the KUNSTORT GLASHAGEN.
