Along the entire cycling and hiking trail on the Rügen island of Ummanz you will find picnic stations. One of the most beautiful is the station located on the dike near Hohen Norden with a fantastic view of the Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft.

Climate forest Haidhof

The Haidhof climate forest covers an area of just under one hectare and is made up of red oaks, sweet chestnuts and hazel trees in combination with various woodland edge trees. At several planting events in the fall since 2011, guests and residents have been able to talk to foresters and forest campaigners about the climate forests on the Island of Rügen while enjoying children's games, campfires and wild sausages.
