The petroleum museum offers an interesting inside the oil production around Grimmen.

From 1961 to 1996 the Grimmen area was one of the North German oil production areas. Commodity oil – origin, retrieval and production: 35o core samples which are documenting the entire geological structure of the region, extensive petroleum geology collection and a collection of minerals of the region can be visited among other things. Since 2002 you can see a drilling rig that was previously located on the island of Usedom.

    Playing card factory museum workshop

    Today, the playing card factory is more of a workshop than a museum.     Brick trench bridge - Rügen dam

    The Rügen causeway is the first fixed trafficable crossing of the Strelasund, over which both the old B 96, the Stralsund-Sassnitz railroad line and a footpath and cycle path lead. It was completed in 1937.
