The old forge and the bakehouse are parts of the former estate, which was owned by the von Blücher family from 1835 to 1945.
Themanor smithy and bakehouse in Teschow are part of the former manor complex and today a branch of the Teterow town museum. The bakehouse dates back to 1850 and for a long time supplied the residents of the village with bread. It was not until 1935 that the residents were supplied by a Teterow baker and the bakehouse became an annex to the blacksmith's shop. This was still in operation until the 1980s. Both the forge and the bakehouse were awarded the status of "Technical Monument " in 1986/87.
On Ascension Day, the traditional visit to Teschow takes place. The estate baking oven is heated up, anvil sounds resound over the festival site and there are various activities for young and old. On selected dates in summer it is baking day. Visitors can enjoy the day in the coffee garden with fresh sheet cake and bread.
