Lookout tower - From its platform you have an excellent view of the Mecklenburg and Prignitz regions.

South of Marnitz in the Ruhn mountains lies the observation tower. 180 steps have to be climbed to reach the viewing platform. From here you have an excellent view of the Mecklenburg and Prignitz countryside.
Heavy equipment was not used in the construction of the tower in order to protect the forest. Therefore, the transport of half a million yellow clinker bricks to the top of the mountain was done by winch and pulley.
The counterpart of the observation tower in the Ruhn Mountains is the Lübz water tower.
