***The NAUTINEUM on the Stralsund Dänholm will be closed for visitors in 2022. The NAUTINEUM has been located on the island of "Kleiner Dänholm" between Stralsund and Rügen since 1999. Original large exhibits, including a historic fishing shed and the walk-in underwater laboratory HELGOLAND, provide an insight into marine research, fisheries, hydrology and sea waterways.
The NAUTINEUM, an exhibition center for fisheries, marine research, hydrology and sea waterways, has been located on the Dänholm in Stralsund since 1999. Among other things, you can get an overview of the coastal fisheries of Western Pomerania. In the architecturally original 14 m high boat hall, the museum zeesboat STR 9 under full sail is located next to smaller beach boats. Also in the boat hall there is a small exhibition with 35 models of traditional working boats - all on a scale of 1:15.On the spacious open-air grounds of the NAUTINEUM with its beautiful tree population there are many impressive original exhibits to be seen, e.g. Especially exciting is the underwater laboratory HELGOLAND, which can even be explored from the inside.In the NAUTINEUM, at this box seat on the Sound, there is a magnificent view for free - of the new Rügen Bridge. There is free parking at the visitor center and a maritime adventure playground for children on the exhibition grounds. In addition, dogs are expressly welcome on a leash.
