On the southern outskirts of the Hanseatic City of Stralsund is the Devin nature reserve and recreation area with elevation 23.
Because of its varied geomorphology and rich flora and fauna, this landscape is not only one of the most beautiful, but also one of the most ecologically valuable in the city. For this reason, a large part of the peninsula (105.5 hectares) was declared a nature reserve in 1993. The peninsula and its adjacent water areas are part of the Europe-wide biotope network "Natura 2000".
The peninsula can be reached from the B 96 via the Devin district. You can also get there by bus line 3.
