Directly in the heart of Mecklenburg Switzerland, our young museum would like to give you an insight into the eventful history of our region. The exhibition on the prehistory and early history of the region around Lake Kummerow shows precious treasures from the collection of Joachim Felgenhauer from Verchen. This exposition was created in cooperation with the State Office for Culture and Preservation of Monuments MV.
The second floor houses the hall, which is used internally and for changing exhibitions. This is followed by a room with furniture from the period around 1900. Furthermore, you can go back in time in a room from the 1950s and see the workshop of a master slipper maker. The courtyard is used for courtyard parties during the summer months. If you are interested, you can also take a look at the Francis turbine, which is no longer in working order.
