Museums

The Museum Neukloster is part of the Klosterhofensemble and shows, in addition to constantly changing special exhibitions, from 2016 the permanent exhibition "Neukloster/ Mecklenburg - 1170 to the Present - A Biography".

The museum building, which is a listed building, was handed over for use to the Neukloster e.V. museum association after successful renovation in 2003. With the completion of the half-timbered house, the circle of the extensively renovated historical ensemble with church, bell tower, provost's building and youth barn around the paved monastery courtyard was closed and thus became an attraction of the town of Neukloster.
In addition to numerous special exhibitions, the museum will show the permanent exhibition "Neukloster/ Mecklenburg - 1170 to the Present - A Biography" from 2016. The museum is open Tuesdays to Saturdays from 10:00 to 16:00.
