"Experience one of the most beautiful water areas in Central Europe, the Mecklenburg Lake District. A lake landscape in the so-called "Land of 1,000 Lakes", where lake after lake are connected by countless canals and small rivers. These are surrounded by meadows, fields and extensive forests, a landscape paradise for nature lovers and water sports enthusiasts.
The unique natural and cultural landscape opens up here at the southern end of the Müritz, the largest inland lake in Germany, or the "little sea", all the way to the Brandenburg residence town of Rheinsberg.
The central canoe base of MüritzKanu is located here at the "southern gateway" to the Müritz National Park, in the idyllic Bolter Kanal. The Bolter Canal, coming from the Müritz, merges into the Müritz National Park. It is an ideal starting point for tours by canoe or bike into the Müritz National Park.
These routes also take you to the neighboring lakes of the Mecklenburg Kleinseenplatte. To explore this beautiful natural landscape, we have numerous types of kayaks, canoes and bicycles (some with child seats) available at our canoe base opposite the Bolter lock.
You will receive expert instruction from us on how to use a canoe before your tour begins. Directly at our canoe base there is a natural campsite with sanitary facilities for your free use. Parking spaces are available in front of the base. In the immediate vicinity you will also find a fish restaurant serving smoked fish.
Booking the desired canoes in good time ensures that your vacation and tour planning is on schedule.
The team at the MüritzKanu-Station welcomes you warmly."
