The mill gate in Tribsees is one of two town gates preserved to this day.
The mill gate, also Stralsund gate, in Tribsees is one of the two remaining gates of the fortification that surrounded the town. The town gate, built in the 13th century, was rebuilt with some structural changes after a great fire (1702). The gate owes its name to a water mill, which was located in the immediate vicinity until the 19th century.
