Mill building
The first documentary mention of the Plauer watermills dates back to May 12, 1273. After the town fire of 1756, the mill building was rebuilt. The Mecklenburg ducal house owned the building until 1918, after which it belonged to the state of Mecklenburg. In 1930, the mill was shut down and transferred to the Imperial Waterways Office. Until 2001, the mill building served as a power station and residential building. In 2002/20023 the building was renovated as part of the urban development program.
