Once there were more than 20 mills around Sellin.
One of them was the Bockwindmühle in Altensien. In 2006, the last master mill builder in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern rebuilt the Altensien mill. Old views and notes from farmer Erwin Schälke, who as a boy used it to grind grain for the cattle on his parents' farm, served as the basis. The mill park draws attention to an old craft with an exhibition and events. In the equipment house the mill history in the southeast of the Island of Rügen becomes alive again. On weekly baking days, tasty bread is baked for visitors in a wooden oven according to old Pomeranian recipes. The baking days can be found in the calendar of events of the Sellin spa administration.
