The Grambower Moor is located southwest of Schwerin between the villages of Grambow, Wittenförden, Zülow and Stralendorf. Peat was mined in the moor for over 200 years. Traces and evidence can be found everywhere in the moor. The moor can be hiked from Grambow on a circular path and nature trail
Peatlands open up a world of their own to the visitor. They are places full of silence and connect visitors with a past shrouded in legend. They are characterized by a natural, primeval, but also dangerous beauty.
Bog walks and information center
At Gut Grambow there is a permanent exhibition on the flora and fauna of the moor, the history of peat cutting in the area and the intended further renaturation of the moor. The Förderverein Grambower Moor e. V. has established a nature trail and circular hiking path, which is accessible and signposted from Grambow. From April to August, guided hikes or excursions for small groups can also be arranged through the Friends or the information center at Gut Grambow.
