The house, dedicated to St. Anne, was given to the Order of Augustinian nuns by Hans Bure in 1480. The chapel has been renovated and accessible since 2007.
After the last nuns of the Brigitten Monastery Mariakron died in 1560, the extensive lands were added to the St. Annen Monastery. Thus, the monastery of St. Anne and Brigitten was established in Schill Street. In the same year it was also decided to use the monastery as a place to stay for destitute widows and virgins from the higher bourgeoisie.
Probably at the beginning of the 16th century the chapel was built on the farm. In 1842, in the course of urgent renovation works, the monastery received its own organ from the master organ builder Buchholz.
The last renovation was carried out in 2003-2007. Since then, weddings have also been held in the chapel.
