The former Minister Hotel in Münzstraße, once a mint, is one of the most prestigious buildings on the street. Between 1828 and 1829, the master builder Ludwig August Bartning redesigned the building in a classical style. In 1855, it was converted into the residence and official residence of the Mecklenburg state ministers under Hermann Willebrand, earning it the name "Ministerhotel". Despite its important function, it blends harmoniously into the small-scale surroundings. Today, the building, which has a representative hall, belongs to the North Church.
The seven-axis, two-storey palace with a rusticated façade and flanking towers dates from the reconstruction of the early 19th century.
