Rest areas for paddlers

The Water hiking rest area Marlow is located about 1 km outside the town of Marlow, directly on the Recknitz Bridge on the L18 between Marlow and Semlow. It offers rest and camping facilities, a toilet suitable for the disabled and access to the boats is also possible via a ramp suitable for wheelchair users.

The Marlow Canoe & Boat Hire Company runs the rest area. It offers a comprehensive range of services, including canoe and kayak hire, rowing boats (with electric motors if required), pedal boats, stand-up boards, bicycles, a snack bar, guided raft and canoe tours, and the sale of tourist fishing licences and fishing permits.

The Marlow water hiking rest area is an ideal starting point for tours by boat, bicycle or on foot to discover and experience the distinctive landscape and nature of the "Lower Recknitz Valley".
