The manor house Thelkow functions today as a school hostel.
The history of Gut Thelkow dates back to 1358, when it was first mentioned in a document. From the end of the 14th century, the Knights of Bassewitz owned the estate for more than 100 years before it passed to the von der Lühe family, who owned it until 1783.

In the MV-Kunst Galerie, the self-taught artists Wolfgang Hube and Kathy H-Teufel exhibit their paintings, painted ostrich eggs and stones, as well as jewellery made using a wide variety of techniques. In the estate park you can discover a monument dedicated to Sabine von Bassewitz (1716-1790). She was considered by contemporaries as a "woman of great and rare talents".
