Poppelvitz Manor on the Zudar Peninsula is located between the Rügen Bodden and the southwestern part of the Strelasund, near the ferry Stahlbrode - Glewitz
It is known that from the 15th to the 16th century Poppelvitz was owned by the von Preetz family. In 1578 the von Normann family became the owner of the Poppelvitz manor. The manor house was built in 1894/1895 as a one-story mansion-like building. After the 1st World War the manor was acquired by the von Bohlen family and expropriated in 1945. From then on it was used as a residential building. In 2003, the Marbach-Oehme family acquired the listed house and completely renovated it until 2006 according to old original plans. Today, four vacation apartments are available for those seeking relaxation.
