This tour leads into the hilly landscape of the Klützer Winkel. The former granary helped the landed gentry to considerable prosperity, which let them build magnificent castles and mansions.

In the Baltic resort of Boltenhagen, the starting point, well-heeled bathers were already strolling on the beach more than 200 years ago. On the cycle path from the Baltic resort to the castle town of Klütz, the St. Mary's Church of Klütz with its red tower, the "Red Bishop's Cap" and also the Dutch windmill greet you from afar. Via Klützer Schlossstraße you reach Bothmer Castle, the largest baroque castle complex in northern Germany, whose park is a beautiful backdrop for picnics and concerts. From Bothmer Castle, a scenic bike path takes you past a tower hill to Stellshagen Manor House. Today it is an organic hotel - only vegetarian delicacies are served, which grow on the nearby farmland.

The villages with castles and manor houses Rankendorf and Kalkhorst follow. Both buildings have been beautifully restored and are privately owned. Part of Kalkhorst Castle is used as a hotel. It is located in the middle of a 13-hectare castle park. This is one of the richest in species in Germany. The Brook estate combines ecological farming and exclusive vacation apartments. The historic building fabric was carefully renovated to preserve the original character for guests.

With its "twisted" tower, the old village church of Elmenhorst greets its guests. There are beautiful viewpoints of the Baltic Sea in Steinbeck and at Kleinklützhöved. Before you get back to the vibrant Baltic resort of Boltenhagen, Redewisch with its idyllic hotel and restaurant Gutshaus Redewisch lies on the way, in the middle of an extensive landscape of meadows, fields and parks.
