The Bartelmann residential and commercial building has been in existence since 1903.
(Beach) master basket maker Wilhelm Bartelmann had his business premises at Hermannstraße 28. He invented the beach chair in 1882 and was at that time a master basket maker in Rostock. The Bartelmann business house is in Kühlungsborn-West in the 4th generation of family ownership.

The playground is located on Rapsweg in Rethwisch. It is equipped with a climbing and sliding tower and offers various climbing options.
In Kägsdorf you surf best with southwest. Then the wind blows sideshore and brings a decent wave with wind forces around 5 Beaufort. Since it is quite chaotic near the shore, the spot is only partly suitable for beginners. You can park your surfmobile on the large parking lot right behind the dune.
