Parks and Gardens, Fair weather offers, Outdoor pools and guarded bathing areas

For over 100 years, the Hagenower Bekow with its bogs, ponds, forest and field has been a popular recreation area for the people of Hagenow. The protected landscape area with many special habitats can be explored on a circular trail during a walk. In summer, visitors can also refresh themselves in Hagenow's forest pool. For those who want to delve deeper into the flora and fauna, there is a free audio guide for their own smartphone.

The Bekow is a protected landscape area of over 600 hectares, which borders the old town of Hagenow to the north. The Schmaar, a tributary of the Sude, flows through it. It is characterized by extensive mixed deciduous forests, wet meadows, as well as hollows and ponds created by historical clay mining. Numerous special biotopes and natural monuments line the walking paths through the Bekow.

Hike through the Bekow (7 km) with the audio guide:

A scenic and very varied hike takes you through the protected landscape area. The route is marked with arrows. Interested people will learn interesting facts about landscape forms, flora and fauna with the web-supported audio guide. The tour starts at the parking lot in Teichstraße.

- Install the free "Entdeckerrouten" app and download the tour beforehand. You will find a WLAN hotspot at the tourist information in Hagenow.
