The Land of Animals is a place to live for rescued animals and vegan animal welfare center. On 133,000 square meters of area between Hamburg and Berlin, animals live without any use in the greatest possible freedom. From May to October is open every Sunday, and there are also festivals, workshops, cooking classes and much more.
The Land of Animals is located in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, just an hour's drive from Hamburg towards Berlin. With the help of many supporters, Stiftung Tiernothilfe has created a unique place for rescued animals and an extraordinary animal welfare center. Animals that have escaped the animal industry live here as freely and self-determined as possible without any exploitation. Guests experience the natural needs of the pigs and sheep, chickens and turkeys and other residents. The fates of the individual animals touch people and trigger changes in their own behavior. The educational program in the Land of the Animals also imparts knowledge that forms the basis for personal and societal change in the human-animal relationship. In this way, the Land of the Animals not only directly saves those animals that are taken in, but also many other innocent people who are tortured and killed in animal factories beyond the public eye.
