The Kröpelin Gate is one of the former 22 city gates of the medieval city fortification of Rostock.
The Gothic gate was first mentioned in 1280. It originally consisted of 2 floors and was extended to its current height of 54 meters in the 15th century.
Since May 2005, the Rostock History Workshop has been using the gate for exhibitions, events and thematic city tours. In addition, visitors can get information about the city here and enjoy a beautiful view of the city wall from above.
