The megalithic tomb "Krampas" is a megalithic tomb in the surroundings of Sassnitz.
The Neolithic megalithic tomb "Krampas" is located in a mound, which still has a diameter of approx. 16 m. Preserved is the burial chamber of about 4.5 x 1.9 m with 4 side stones each and a capstone at the front side. Except for a blasted capstone on the northwest side of the tomb, the remaining capstones are missing. From the 18th century on, numerous barrows on Rügen fell victim to robbery. Especially since the second half of the 19th century, stone-beating columns passed over Rügen, dividing the stones of the megalithic tombs into transportable ashlars. The erratic blocks were used mainly for road and house construction.
