The Koserow salt huts were built at the end of the 19th century. They served mainly as a camp for fishermen during the herring season. Therefore they are also called herring packing huts. During the herring season, herring were salted here and stored in large wooden barrels. At the beginning of the 20th century there were 15 such huts in Koserow. One of the salt huts serves as a museum and registry office. Romantic wedding ceremonies in a maritime ambience can be held in a small circle of a maximum of 8 people.
