Enjoy, marvel and experience: A colourful mix of leisure fun, shopping pleasure and culinary delights await young and old discoverers in Karl's Erlebnis-Dorf in Rövershagen near Rostock. While the slightly older can be spoiled with Mecklenburg asparagus, fish or strawberry cake in the rustic kitchen or in the Café, the younger ones can enjoy pure variety with potato sack slides, an adventure aquarium or a 600 square metre bluster area. Together, they then take a leisurely stroll through Germany's largest farmers' market, which not only scores with its creative and sustainable products, but also shows how they are created. Seductive marmalades are produced in the glass manufactories, sweets are drawn, soaps are produced, chocolates are poured or bread is baked. All the arts and crafts have in common that they are made according to traditional recipes and customs. On the way through the rustic barn, which the little ones playfully master with Karl's Bobbycars, one thing is always noticeable: Coffee pots. In every imaginable shape, colour and make, the old wooden walls are now lined with more than 27,000 pieces - a record that is even recorded in the Guinness Book of Records. Other highlights of the rural amusement park are the country's largest indoor climbing forest, a huge slide tower called Kalossos, a children's farm with a petting zoo and an ice world in which fairytale creatures and fantastic worlds at minus ten degrees Celsius provide a game for the senses every year between December and October. And because Karl's inventiveness is unlimited, new ideas are spun again.
