Cemetery of the Jewish community Stralsund from 1850
The life and work of the Jewish community in Stralsund can be traced, among other places, at the small Jewish cemetery in the Frankensiedlung. Established as early as 1850, the last burials were made in 1937. The cemetery is surrounded by a wall and is located on the Greifswalder Chaussee. Since 2000, various works have been carried out to secure and renew the site. In 2008 the Jewish cemetery received a newly designed central square with a memorial stone and a seating area. The cemetery is not freely accessible. Please direct inquiries to the Stralsund Tourist Office or the Streets and City Greenery Department.
