Tourist information in Amt Neuhaus / Elbe on the historic farmstead Konau 11 is the first point of contact for tourists in the Elbe region. In an exhibition, the Archezentrum provides an insight into the diversity of rare breeds of domestic animals kept in the Amt Neuhaus archeregion.
Experience the beauty of untouched nature in the Lower Saxony Elbe Valley Biosphere Reserve. Explore the Amt Neuhaus with its up to 400 years old half-timbered houses, the parks, lakes, meadows and forests on foot or by bike. Besides the white stork, lapwings, herons, cranes, otters, beavers and fire-bellied toads, among others, find ideal living conditions in the Elbtalaue. One of the most important natural monuments of the region is the open inland dune near Stixe. You are also welcome to visit the artists living in Amt Neuhaus.
Archezentrum
The exhibition in the Archezentrum tells backgrounds, historical contexts as well as the importance of rare domestic animal breeds, but also stories about nature in the biosphere reserve. Free guided tours take place regularly and for groups on request.
