Schwerin traditional hotel in the heart of the city of Schwerin directly on the Pfaffenteich. Experience art, culture and nature.
Schwerin's traditional hotel "Niederländischer Hof" is located in the middle of the historic old town directly at the Pfaffenteich, a little hidden behind old lime trees. Since 1881 it has been writing hotel history and has immortalized itself in many guests' hearts with charm and fond memories.
The hotel received its name in 1901, in honor of the marriage to Her Royal Highness of the Netherlands Wilhelmina and Duke Heinrich zu Mecklenburg in the same year. A close friendship connected the former hotel founder Hermann Krasemann with the princely house from this solidarity and the already at that time designation "Most distinguished house at the place" he was appointed court supplier of his majesty. This tradition is still followed today with loving service, excellent cuisine and a feel-good ambience, in order to do everything possible to make his guests' stay as pleasant as possible.
In the 1990s, the house was completely renovated and refurbished, the 32 rooms, studios and apartments furnished with English style furniture and fine marble bathrooms, some with a magnificent view over the Pfaffenteich and the city panorama, let again remind you of the glory days of the house. With much love and taste, the play with light and colors, the harmony of dignified noblesse with modern zeitgeist, make it a very special jewel of the Schwerin hotel industry. Whoever enters the house can forget everyday life for a moment and enjoy the special atmosphere it radiates
A visit to the restaurant is rewarded with culinary delights from the kitchen.
