Quiet 3-star superior hotel at the gates of Schwerin, restaurant in historic windmill from 1874, large park with playground, beer garden and 2 log cabin saunas to relax, function rooms for up to 200 people.

On the edge of one of the largest nature reserves in Mecklenburg, the Lewitz, and directly at the gates of the historic State capital Schwerin with its many sights, stands the Holländer-Galerie-Mühle, built in 1874. The mill, which is a listed building, was completely renovated in 1994 and a modern, future-oriented hotel was added in 1995. Past and future were harmoniously combined on the 20,000 m² park-like property.

Schwerin Castle - Gardens

Though the Palace outshines almost everything around it, there is one more attraction on that island which you shouldn’t miss. To the left of the main entrance, walking through the castle garden, you will find the charming orangery. It is a delicate construction made of cast iron and glass, a unique example of 19th century architecture and one of a kind in Germany.
