Botanical show garden in the style of a traditional farm garden. In an idyllic secluded location, about four kilometers from the monastery town of Rehna, the Kastanienhof is situated in a wonderful secluded location in the hilly terminal moraine landscape between the Baltic Sea and the Schaalsee.
The garden is surrounded by flowering and fruit-bearing native trees and shrubs that correspond with the vegetation of the surrounding cultivated landscape. Divided into various garden rooms surrounded by yew and box hedges, historic vegetables, herbs, fruit trees, perennials, summer flowers and insect-friendly wildflowers thrive here. The garden invites you to linger and discover, and the harmonious surroundings open up a wide view of the landscape, while busy bees, bumblebees and butterflies dance among the flowers. Shapes, colors and beguiling scents create an inspiring atmosphere. A free guided tour via the Guidemate app also offers interesting insights into the history of the Kastanienhof.
Admission price €3 per person.
