Welcome to Highwood Archery, the only 3D archery course in the north-east of Germany that is open all year round. Instinctive archery offers challenge, feelings of happiness and a lot of fun. First and foremost, however, it is a lesson in "relying on yourself".

What is instinctive archery? The terms "instinctive-, traditional or intuitive archery" are designations for shooting techniques that unite the body feeling and the experience of the archer alone to bring the arrow to the target. We return to the roots and the basic methods of our ancestors. Shooting is purely instinctive, without any other technique such as bow sights or other additional equipment on the bow. Many people are fascinated by bows and arrows; to draw a bow and feel this stored energy and then to release the arrow furiously on a target is an experience which one never forgets. The interplay between deep, relaxed concentration and the sense for the right moment to release the arrow. In these highly technical times it is a great experience to feel this.
