Mysterious walls, misty parks and gnarled trees. Wonderful ambience for enchanting celebrations, events and weddings.
The weeping ash tree in front of the Vogelsang manor house fulfilled its purpose. When in 1989/1990 the planning for the restoration of the manor house under monument preservation aspects was available, there was still hope for salvation for the charming "fairy tale castle". The house was built in the neo-Gothic style in the middle of the 19th century. A predecessor building can be assumed.
The manor house is one of the most outstanding neo-Gothic buildings in Mecklenburg. Renovations took place in 1892, when the Hüniken family owned the manor. After World War II, the house was used for residential purposes. A store, a kitchen and a nurses' station were also established in the rooms.
Since 2010 it has been privately owned. Events are regularly held in the manor house, including the MidsummerRemise, Schlösserherbst or Midwinter.
