The Heimatstube is located right next to the Haus des Gastes and guides you through the history of the Baltic resort.

The lovingly furnished local history room mainly deals with the development of the bathing industry in Fulgen, Arendsee and Brunshaupten, the places from which the Baltic resort Kühlungsborn was founded on April 1, 1938. But you can also see a furnished kitchen, where great-grandma used to farm, as well as the bedroom and the living room, where you can find numerous utensils of the golden twenties. Also the time of the GDR is documented by numerous material testimonies.

Opening hours of the Heimatstube: Tuesday and Thursday from 13:00 - 16:00. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10:00 - 12:00. Closed on holidays.
The reading room is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 - 12:00.
