The Rerik Museum of Local History was founded in 1953 and has been located in the old school, one of the oldest buildings in the Baltic resort, since 1997. Here the development of Rerik from 1820 is documented.

The Rerik Museum of Local History was founded in 1953 and since 1997 has been located in the old school, one of the oldest buildings in the Baltic resort. In a gallery paintings and drawings of the local landscape are shown, among others by the local artist Ernst Schriever. Other attractions include model ships, a collection of seabirds and an extensive fossil collection of maritime animals. The past of the local fishing industry is reported in a separate section. A model of a Zeesen boat illustrates how fishing was once practiced in the Haff and coastal waters.

The spot at the Salzhaff offers shallow water deluxe! You can park in front of or on the campsite. Day tickets are available at the reception. The Salzhaff is very shallow and the standing area is therefore extremely large. Especially windsurfers have to walk further out at low tide so that the fin doesn't involuntarily become an anchor. Pepelow shows its best side with southwest to north.
