The house of the v. Oertzen family, originally from the 18th century, was rebuilt in the mid-19th century according to plans by the court architect Buttel.
The result was a neo-Gothic castle with crenellated turrets, which is otherwise quite clearly and strictly structured. The courtyard and garden sides differ considerably, as an alcove with a canopy was added on the garden side, giving the house a three-storey appearance. The side wings attached to the main house in a blunt diaper are also unusual.
